We are offering Thai reading and writing classes for students because we realized there is a need in this area. literacy is the core tool for human development because it reduces poverty, improves health, and builds strong jobs. Reading opens the door to computers, new ideas, and ongoing skill growth.
We are offering Thai reading and writing classes for students who are being left behind. There seems to be students - majority of boys - who are getting through the school system here in Isan Thailand without being able to read and write. Reading and writing skills help people get good jobs and earn more money. People who can read are better able to save money and start small businesses.
